Home textiles for

Casa Amarosa

celestial capsule collection available for purchase here.

While coming up with the new collection for the ethically sourced home goods company, Casa Amarosa, we decided to consciously edit and concentrate on two main techniques, printing and weaving. The woven set is inspired from the modernist textile explorations of the women artists of the Bauhaus school of thought. There is a tactility to textiles that makes them warm and inviting, and we have tried to capture a bit of that.

The block printed range is specifically inspired from the beautiful work of the artist Bobby Clark,  her compositions are reminiscent of the bold basic shapes that defined the graphic style of the time. They were printed in Jaipur, on soft textured cotton slub fabric.

In India, we have multiple craft clusters that work in these techniques, and we have worked with panja weavers in Panipat, for handwoven cushions with dyed cotton yarn.
